Michael Joseph Pirtz, age 65 of Braceville passed away peacefully into eternal life on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at his residence surrounded by his loving family from natural causes. Michael was born on June 14, 1945 in Cleveland, OH the son of the late Frank William & Helen (Jalovec) Pirtz. He married his high school sweetheart and best friend, Barbara Ann White on January 6, 1968 and they enjoyed 42 blessed years of marriage together. Michael had lived in Braceville since 1954 working as a Oiler for Delphi Packard for 36 years before retiring in 2004. He was a member of the US Army serving during Vietnam, the St. Michael's Church in Windham, the snow mobile club in Troy, and the LaBrae Football Boosters where he was the past treasurer. Michael was an avid golfer and enjoyed being a member of the Southington Golf Club. He also enjoyed farming on the family farm that he started with his father. Memories of Michael will be carried on by his loving family; his wife Barbara; his sons Michael & Jennifer Pirtz of Normal, IL, Jason & Jennifer Pirtz of Uniontown, OH; his sisters Charlotte & Larry Thompson, Shelia McKnight all of Braceville; his brothers Frank & Mary Lynn Pirtz of Braceville, Richard & Jill Pirtz of Bazetta; and three grandchildren Hayden, Ryersen, and Greyer Pirtz. Funeral Services will be held at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at 11:00AM. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, November 12, 2010 from 4:00-7:00PM. Michael will be laid to rest at Braceville Cemetery.
