Mosella Madeline Watson Horton, age 102 of Newton Falls passed away peacefully into eternal life on Thursday morning July 18, 2024 at the Community Commons Assisted Living in Warren.  She was born on July 17, 1922, in West Union, WV, the daughter of the late Austin Dickey & Florence (McKinney) Dickey. Mosella married her first husband Hiram T. Watson on September 8, 1936 and they enjoyed 33 years of marriage together and three children before his passing on December 21, 1969. Then she married her second husband Warren G. Horton on June 21, 1975 and he passed away in August 1999.  Mosella has lived in Trumbull County since 1941, and worked as a Waitress for over 20 years at many different restaurants.  She was a member of the Parkman Road Church of Christ and the Blue Star Mothers. Mosella was also a caregiver in private homes. Mosella was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Hiram and second husband Warren,, her daughter Devona Snyder, her son David Watson, 4 brothers and 5 sisters

Left to celebrate her memories are her son: Keith & Judy Watson of Warren, her 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren.  The family would like to send its gratitude to the wonderful staff at the Community Commons and Patriot Hospice for the amazing care they took of Mosella. Their compassion and kindness was above and beyond anything expected and they will be forever grateful.

Funeral services will be at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Tuesday July 23, 2024 at 12:00pm with Pete Nash officiating her service. Calling hours will be one hour prior to service time from 11:00am -12:00pm.  Mosella will be laid to rest next to her first husband Hiram at Pine Knoll Cemetery in Warren Twp.
