Nancy R. Staton, age 75 of Newton Twp passed away peacefully into eternal life on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital with her family by her side. She was born on January 15, 1942 in Warren, OH the daughter of the late David and Ruth (Craig) Rutter. Nancy married Marvin Staton on January 20, 1984, and they have enjoyed 33 years of marriage together. She worked as a secretary for Dental Associates in Newton Falls for many years. Nancy enjoyed her herb garden, decorating the house, working with her flowers, and spending time with her animals. She really enjoyed her pet deer "Abby" whom she took care of for 17 years. Memories of Nancy will be carried on by her loving family: her husband Marvin Staton of Newton Twp; 1 daughter & son-in-law Susan & Nick Amodio of Niles; 3 sons & daughter-in-laws Mark & Nancy Capan of Bazetta, Douglas & Mickey Capan of Newton Falls, Joe & Connie Capan of Pickerington; 1 brother David E. (Sonny) Rutter of Geneva; 2 step-daughters Sandra & Jack Durig of Champion, Janet & Scott Kovach of Cortland; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 3, 2017 from 11:00AM to 12:00PM at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls. Funeral services will immediately follow at the funeral home at 12:00PM with Rev. Arnold Edmondson officiating. Nancy will be laid to rest at Crown Hill Memorial Park in Vienna.
