Naomi "Jean" Gintert age 94 of Braceville passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Monday May 12, 2025 at the Windsor House of Champion after a month long bout of pneumonia.  She has been lovingly cared for there since May of 2024.  She was born on July 25, 1930 in Cambridge, OH the daughter of the late Raymond Gilcher and Kathryn (Davis) Gilcher.  Her mother died when Naomi was a baby so she moved to the Braceville area as a child to be raised by her grandparents. It was in Braceville where she graduated High School in May of 1948 and met her husband Edward Gintert Sr. They were married on June 22, 1948 and spent 71 years together until his passing on April 18, 2020. Jean spent many years working as a secretary for the Superintendent of Braceville Schools until she retired and started working full time beside her husband on the family built golf course that was converted from a farm in 1962. Riverview Golf Course is still in operation today. Together, Jean & Edward spent their Summers in Ohio and the rest of their time in Ft. Pierce, FL.   She loved playing cards, and doing word search puzzles.

Jean is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edward, and 2 brothers: Raymond and James Gilcher.

Precious Memories of Jean will be carried on by: 1 daughter: Gail Wilthew & her husband Milan Pazitka of Champion, OH, 1 son: Edward Gintert Jr & his life partner Dora Shannon of Fort Pierce, FL, 5 grandchildren: Denise & Rob Drum, David & Melissa Wilthew, Ed & Cydney Gintert, Stacy & Craig McDivitt, Ashley Gumino & Jason Romans, 10 great grandchildren: Brittany, Brandon, Trey, Mason, Jaxson, Mason, Mack, AJ, Addi, Ari, and 3 great great grandchildren: Stella, Clayton, & Olive.

Cremation has taken place, and there will be no services.
