Nora Ellen Gross, 81 of Ravenna entered into eternal rest on Friday January 17, 2014 at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna. Nora was born on May 4, 1932 in Youngstown, the daughter of Arthur Ernest & Mary Jane (Weaver) Stevens. Nora formerly resided in Girard for 58 years. Nora married Frank F. Gross Sr. on February 9, 1952. Frank and Nora were married for 53 years before his passing on February 1, 2006. She was a waitress for 20 years at Fosters Restaurant in Girard retiring in 1982. Nora enjoyed reading, spending time with her family and watching the food network. Loving memories of Nora will be carried on by her daughters, Sandra (John) Fetherolf of Newton Falls, Jane Thompson of Ravenna with whom she made her home, son, Frank (Betty) Gross Jr. of Gulfport, MS, sister, Katherine Christensen of Winchester, CA, brother, Arthur Stevens Jr. of Pompano Beach, FL, 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Nora was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Frank. Calling hours will be held on Monday, January 20, 2014 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at James Funeral Home in Newton Falls. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:30 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Joan Purnell officiating. Nora will be laid to rest next to her husband Frank at Newton Falls Cemetery.
