Norma S. Myers age 90 of Palmyra Twp passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Monday morning Nov 11, 2024 at her residence.  She was born on Dec. 18, 1933 in Salt Lick, KY the daughter of the late Herman Beckham Staton and Iva (McClain) Staton. Norma was a lifelong resident of Palmyra Twp, and spent most of her life as a housewife raising 4 children.  She married the love of her life, Jack Albert Myers on April 5, 1952 and they have enjoyed 59 wonderful years of marriage together until his death on Aug. 11, 2011.  Norma was a member of the Newton Falls First Church of God for many years. She loved bowling, gardening, crocheting, sewing, and she was an excellent home cook.  Norma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jack, 2 sisters: Francis Caudill, Elvera Ayersman, and 4 brothers: Marvin, Velmond, William (Bill), and David Staton.

She is survived by: 2 daughters: Connie & Troy Surnak of Edinburg, Lorraine Cadle of Palmyra Twp, 2 sons: Jack (Doug) Myers of Newton Falls, Jerry Myers & his companion Kathleen Mace of Berlin Center, OH, 1 sister: Jean & Carl Estlack of Southington, 2 brothers: Arvie & Shirley Staton of Newton Falls, Herman Staton Jr. of KY, 10 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.

A Small Graveside service will take place in the Chapel in Palmyra West Cemetery in Palmyra Twp. on Wednesday Nov. 13, 2024 at 11:00am.  After services, she will be laid to rest beside her husband Jack.  The family has requested that all donations please be made to either the American Heart Association PO Box 840692 Dallas, TX 75284-0692 or the charity of your choice in her memory.
