Obituary

Patricia Ann (Casey) Butler, age 79, of Lake Milton passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren. She was born May 19, 1935 in Niles, Ohio, the daughter of Edward J. Casey, Sr. and Dorothy H. (Hardt) Casey. She graduated from St. Mary's High School in Warren, Ohio in 1953 and from Youngstown College in 1957 where she was a member of the Phi Mu Sorority. Patricia and James W. Butler, Sr. were married on August 11, 1962 and moved to Lake Milton where they enjoyed 52 years of marriage. Patricia was a Teacher at Niles McKinley High School from 1957 to 1967 and was a proud sponsor of the Class of 1963. She attended all of the class reunions. In 1967 she joined the staff at Newton Falls High School and enjoyed her career there until her retirement in 1991. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes-St. Catherine Parish in Lake Milton and the Lake Milton Women's League. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, gardening, babysitting her grandchildren and spending the winters in Florida. Patricia will be fondly remembered by her loving family; her husband, James W. Butler Sr. of Lake Milton; her sons James W. Jr. (Michele) Butler of Lake Milton, Todd J. (Sunshine) Butler of Berlin Center; her step daughters Charlotte Cervone of Girard, Susan Butler-Rossi of Warren, her sister Dorothy L. Casey of Lake Milton; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Edward J. Casey, Jr. and Terence P. Casey, and her step son, Robert J. Butler. Calling hours will be held at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Monday, April 6, 2015 from 5pm to 8pm. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 11am, with visitation from 10am to 11am. Father David Merzweiler will be officiating. Patricia will be laid to rest in Niles City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of the Lakes-St. Catherine Parish, 1254 Grandview Ave., Lake Milton, OH 44429.
