Patricia "Pat" Margaret (Collier) Collier, formerly of Lake Milton, passed away at Crandall Medical Center in Sebring, Ohio, on the morning of June 13, 2016. She had been a resident at Crandall Medical Center since September, 2014. She was born November 5, 1930 in New Lexington, OH the daughter of the late Nile Charles Collier and Dortha May (Starner) Collier. Pat grew up in a family of two sisters Veronica "Bonnie" Pellegrini (deceased) and Lois Richar of Clemont, FL; and one brother William Collier (deceased). She graduated from Ravenna High School in Ravenna, Ohio, where she enjoyed homemaker classes. She worked at Ravenna's Robinson Memorial Hospital as a nurse's aide. She married Ora Wendell Collier (deceased) in July, 1949, at the United Methodist Church in Ravenna. Together, Patricia and Ora had David Wendell Collier (deceased), Susan Collier Shreffler (Jay), Larry Collier (Pamela), Daniel Collier, and Brian Collier (Denise). Patricia has 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was an active member of the Pricetown United Methodist Church and always cooked turkeys and made pies for its yearly Turkey Dinner. She possessed an undying devotion to homemaking. She prepared wonderful family meals and tended a fabulous rose garden. She grew her own vegetables and canned them. Patricia loved to read and discuss current events. Funeral services will be at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at 3:00pm. Calling hours will be one hour prior to service time from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Patricia will then be laid to rest next to her husband Ora at Newton Falls Cemetery. The Collier family would like to thank the staff of The Hospice of the Valley for its dedication to end-life care. The Collier family requests that any material requests take the form of donations that be made to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market Street, Youngstown, OH 44512 or the Oaks Foundation, 800 South 15th Street, Sebring, OH 44672-2050. The fund is set for elderly residents of Crandall Medical Center who have exhausted their resources.
