Patricia Ann Murphy, age 70 of Newton Falls passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at 10:55 AM. She was born on Nov. 15, 1944 in Latrobe, PA the daughter of the late Anthony Konecny and Virginia Ann (Polosky)Konecny. She married the love of her life, James Eugene Murphy on April 4, 1964, and they have enjoyed 50 years of marriage together. Patricia and James have lived in Newton Falls since 1970, and formerly of Latrobe, PA. She worked as a medical records clerk at Imperial Skilled Nursing Home in Warren for 25 years retiring in 2008. Pat enjoyed bowling, bingo, gambling, working out in her garden, canning, and especially loved her family and grandkids very much. She is preceded in death by her parents, and 1 brother, Richard Konecny. She is survived by: 1 daughter: Tracey Tennant of Newton Falls, 1 son: James & Jeanine Murphy of Canfield, OH, 1 sister: Regina Mears of New Alexandria, PA, 3 brothers: Tony Konecny of Derry, PA, Fran & Jean Ann Konecny of Penn Twp., PA, John & Diane Konecny of Barberton, OH, 4 grandchildren: Brittany Tennant of Newton Falls, Kailyn & Tyler Murphy of Canfield, OH, and Meg Welsh of Canfield, OH. Funeral services will be at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at 5:00pm. The family will receive friends for calling hours three hours prior to service time from 2:00pm- 5:00pm. Cremation will follow the service. She will be laid to rest at St. Joseph Cemetery in Newton Falls. Patricia had a love for plants, because of this, the family has requested per their mother's wishes, that plants are acceptable but in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association (Greater East Ohio Area Chapter) 70 West Streetsboro St. Suite 201 Hudson, OH 44236 in memory of Patricia Ann Murphy.
