Pauline Teresa Bretsik, age 93 of Newton Falls passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at Laurie Ann Nursing Home. She was born on June 6, 1923, in Ravenna, OH the daughter of the late Joseph & Veronica (Shimko) Mazanetz. She has lived in Newton Falls most of her life residing in Warren for 15 years. Pauline married Andrew Michael Bretsik on January 20, 1945. Pauline and Andrew were blessed with 18 wonderful years of marriage until his passing on September 3, 1963. Pauline retired in 1985 after 25 years as a secretary at Copperweld Steel Company. She was a member of St. Mary & Joseph Church in Newton Falls. Loving memories of Pauline will be carried on by her son, Andrew Joseph (Connie) Bretsik of Pensacola, FL, 6 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Andrew, her daughter, Judith Ellen Kalo, sister, Elizabeth (Betty) Zeigler and 2 brothers: Joseph Mazanetz, and Emil Robert Mazanetz. Per Pauline's wishes, Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph Cemetery in Newton Falls.
