Pauline M. (Gill) Ross, age 89 of Garrettsville passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Friday Sept, 30, 2016 at University Hospital Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna, OH. She was born on February 8, 1927 in Copley, OH, the daughter of the late Leo Pius & Emma G. (Getz) Gill. Pauline married the love of her life, Ralph S. Ross on July 3, 1948, and they enjoyed 66 years of marriage together when he passed away on April 2, 2014. She worked at the A&P in Garrettsville and then as a school cafeteria worker for Garfield Board of Education for 17 years before retiring in 1987. Pauline had lived in Garrettsville since June of 2005, formerly of Nelson Twp. for 46 years. She was a member of the St. Ambrose Church in Garrettsville, where she worked and helped with funeral dinners and was a member of the Alter and Rosary Society. She was also a member of the pinochle card club in Garrettsville and enjoyed bowling for many years. Memories of Pauline will be carried on by her 2 Sons: Dennis & Beverly Ross of Gibsonville , NC and .Terry & Jami Ross of Cooper City, Fl, 2 Sisters: Norma Baker of Willowick, OH, Helen Danku of Garrettsville, OH, 3 Brothers Leonard Jack Gill of Longview, TX, Stanley & Nancy Gill of Garrettsville, OH, Ronald & Cynthia Gill of Garrettsville, OH, 5 Grandchildren: Timothy Ross, Shelly & Jim Householder , Zachary Ross, Kena & Hooipo Heffernan and Jake Heffernan., 11 Great-Grandchildren Trevor & Brittany, Taylor, Emma Rae Ross, Hailey Householder, Na'Ale, Journey, Killian, Kamana, Capri, Kenzie, Miliana Heffernan. Great Great Grandson Cooper Ross. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph, Brother Ken and a Granddaughter Tera Ross. The family will receive friends at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 from 6 to 8 PM. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 10:00AM at the James Funeral Home and a Funeral Mass at 11:00AM at the St. Ambrose Church in Garrettsville. Burial will be at Park Cemetery in Garrettsville. The family asks that all contributions be made to the St. Ambrose Church in Garrettsville.
