Phyllis Ann Hauck, age 86, of Newton Falls passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Friday, October 21, 2011at Laurie Ann Nursing Home of natural causes. Phyllis was born on April 11, 1925 in Warren, OH the daughter of the late Benjamin Chipukaizer and Esther E. (Finnical) Chipukaizer. She has lived in Newton Falls for most of her life. Phyllis worked as a Letter carrier for the Newton Falls Post Office for 42 years retiring in 1982. She was the first woman city mail carrier in Ohio. Phyllis was a member of the Wayland Community Church for many years. She also was a Life member of Grange, and the Letter Carriers Association. Phyllis loved to fish, and spend time with her grandchildren. Memories of Phyllis will be carried on by her loving family: her son Phyllip & Virginia Hauck of Newton Falls; her two daughters Paula Phillips of Southington, Kathleen Stone of Newton Falls; her sister & brother-in-law Margaret & Arnold Johnson of Jamestown, NY; her grandchildren Lindsey Phillips, Todd Clark, Ross & Tiffany Clark, Patricia Hauck, Mark Hauck; her great-grandchildren Heidi Hauck, Chloe Hauck, Benjamin Clark, Hannah Clark, Emily Clark, Brooke Clark, Jennifer Darnell, Kenneth Darnell; great-great-grandchildren Izaya Edwards & Kenslee Darnell. Funeral services will be at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at 11am. The Rev. Brad White will be officiating the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service time from 10- 11 on Wednesday and on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 from 5-7pm. Phyllis will be laid to rest at the Newton Falls Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you please make a donation to your favorite charity.
