Raymond Albert Egbert, age 76, of Newton Falls, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 13, 2015, at St. Joseph's Hospital. Raymond was born on May 4, 1939 in Ravenna, the son of Lloyd & Martha (Kistler) Egbert. He has lived in Newton Falls for the past 40 years, formerly of Braceville and Cleveland. Raymond married the former Bettie J. Alvis on August 13, 1979. Raymond and Bettie were blessed with 30 wonderful years of marriage before her passing on July 5, 2010. Raymond was a US Army veteran serving during the Vietnam era. Raymond was employed as a Nurses Aid for the State of Ohio for 23 years, retiring in 1997. He then went back to work at RF Products in Warren for 7 years, retiring in 2009. Raymond enjoyed nature, gardening, sitting and watching traffic go by and taking care of his home. Raymond's greatest pleasure was spending time with his 2 grandchildren. Loving memories of Raymond will be carried on by his daughter, Tina (Joe) Richmond of Newton Falls, stepson, Butch (Chrissy) Horton, sister, Helen (Fred) Howard of Newton Falls, brother, Lloyd (Ilene) Egbert of Medina, grandchildren, Dillon Counts, Spencer Richmond and 4 nieces. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Bettie. Per Raymond's request, there are no calling hours or services.
