Richard J. Jones "Jonesy", age 77 of Newton Falls entered into eternal rest on Tuesday January 5, 2010 at his residence. Richard was born on May 24, 1932 in Cleveland, the son of James T. & Anne (Mracko )Jones. He has lived in Newton Falls since 1950, formerly of Franklin, PA. Richard married the former Marilyn J. Yost on May 2, 1990 and they have been married nineteen years. Richard retired in 1994 after 44 years as an iron worker at W.B. Gibson in Warren. Richard was a US Army veteran serving in the Korean War, member of the Newton Falls Masonic Lodge, member and Trustee of the Newton Falls Amvets, member of the Newton Falls American Legion and an former member of the Army & Navy. He was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and enjoyed golfing, and yardwork. Richard loved his grandchildren and his dog, Kelly. Richard is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn Jones of Newton Falls, daughter, Melissa and Jeff Cariglio of Newton Falls, sons, James Jones of Bakersfield, CA, Richard & Stephanie Jones of New Castle, PA, step-son, Gary & Mimi Sutton of Newton Falls and 6 grandchildren. He was preceeded in death by his sister, Alberta Peters. Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 8, 2010 from 6:00-8:00 pm at James Funeral Home. Masonic services will be held at 8:00 pm with a memorial service following. The Newton Falls veterans organization will be performing full military services following the memorial service. Rev.
