Richard Edwin Kihn, age 91 of Leavittsburg, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Lake Vista of Cortland. Richard was born on December 23, 1925 in Warren the son of the late John & Orrlie (Young) Kihn. Richard married the former Lois Jane Culp on December 24, 1946. Richard and Lois have been blessed with 70 wonderful years of marriage. They lived in Leavittsburg from 1946 until 1981 when they moved to Okeechobee, FL. They lived in Florida until 2015 when they moved back to Leavittsburg. Richard was employed with Packard Electric for 23 years. He then worked for the Leavittsburg Post Office for 18 years. Richard worked for Lykes Citrus Grove for 12 years when he lived in Florida. Richard was a US Army veteran. He attended the Leavittsburg Church of God and the Warren Revival Center. He was a member of the American Legion and VFW in Okeechobee, FL. Richard enjoyed working crossword puzzles and building model airplanes out of balsa wood. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, snow sking, bowling and playing ping pong. Loving memories of Richard will be carried on by his wife, Lois Kihn of Leavittsburg, daughters; Carolyn Currier of Newton Falls, Marilyn (William) Nogle of Leavittsburg, sons; Richard (Kim) Kihn II of Champion, Hans (Jennifer) Kihn of Okeechobee, FL, sister Dolores Morrel of Cortland, brother Jack (Peggy) Kihn of Miamisburg 9 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Richard was preceded in death by his son Richard Dallas Kihn, granddaughters Danielle Moses, Rebecca Nogle, grandsons Brian Shelton, Richard Kihn III and great great grandson Dustin West. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at James Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am at the Warren Revival Center, 4400 West Market Street, Leavittsburg, OH 44430. Pastor James Holbrook will officiate.
