Richard Allen Morgan, age 64 of Lordstown passed into eternal life on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at 3:50PM at the Hospice House of Poland of natural causes. He was born on May 15, 1946 in Warren, OH the son of the late Floyd Robert & Winifred (Williams) Morgan. Richard married the love of his life, Frances Jean Hunter on January 13, 1968 and they enjoyed 42 years of blessed marriage together. Richard had lived in Lordstown all his life and was a member and Deacon of the Lordstown Christian Church. He worked as a Mill Wright and Crane Operator for WCI for 37 years. Richard was a member of the Moose Club in Warren and was a Lordstown councilman for over 12 years. He was also a Lordstown Fireman for many years and was the Past Fire Chief for over 10 years. Richard enjoyed teaching fire safety classes and being on the Fall Festival Committee for many years. He had a passion for farming. Memories of Richard will be carried on by his loving family; his wife Frances (Jean) Morgan of Lordstown; his daughter Rhonda (Eric) Williams of Youngstown; his sons Richard Morgan Jr. of Youngstown, Robert Morgan of Columbus; his brothers Tom & Darla Morgan of Henderson,NV, Larry & Irene Morgan of Lordstown, and Terry Morgan of Long Beach, CA. Funeral Services will be held at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at 11:00AM with Rev. Dr. Bernard M. Oakes officiating. Friends may call the funeral home on Friday, October 1, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00PM. Burial will be at Lordstown Cemetery.
