Robert William Johnston age 73 of Diamond passed peacefully into eternal life at 7:50 pm on Sunday June 13, 2010 at his residence with his family close by his side. Robert was born on February 5, 1937 in Palmyra, OH the son of Wade L. & Laura B. (Onstott) Johnston. He has lived in Diamond all his life, working as a press operator/ tow motor operator for Chrysler for 30 years retiring in 1996. He married the love of his life, Marilyn E. Rhodes on October 4, 1958 and she survives. Robert was a member of the General Assembly Church of God for over 10 years. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, being outdoors, working around the house and watching the Cleveland Browns. Memories of Robert will be carried on by his loving family; his wife Marilyn of Diamond; his son & daughter-in-laws Robert & Teresa Johnston of Akron, Rusty & Lisa Johnston of Lake Milton; and grandchildren Eric S. Johnston of Sandusky, Rory W. Johnston of Ravenna and Chris W. Johnston of Berlin Center. Private Family Services will be held. Robert will be laid to rest at Palmyra West Cemetery.
