Robert G. Lorimer, age 73 of Braceville entered into eternal life on Monday January 11, 2010 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. Robert was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 16, 1936, the son of Gordon Campbell & Janet (Manners-Walker) Lorimer. He has lived in Braceville for the past 10 years, formerly residing in Boardman. Robert has been married to Florence Cohen Lorimer for the past 32 years, fomerly married to Margaret Schubert Lorimer. Robert was the founder and owner of Lorco Business Systems in Youngstown, OH since 1975. He supported the Mahoning Valley Chamber of Commerce and various local organizations. Robert attended the Braceville United Methodist Church. Robert's activities over the years included, baseball, squash, bowling and horseshoes. His greatest interests were his children, grandchildren, family dinners and events. Memories of Robert will be carried on by his wife, Florence Lorimer of Braceville, daughters and spouses, Susan & Scott Merkle of Jupiter, FL, Ann & Mark Grandon of Goshen, KY, Caroline Lorimer of Los Angeles, CA, sons and spouses, Gregory & Carolyn Lorimer of Boardman, Jeffrey & Amy Lorimer of Boardman, sisters and spouses, Margaret & Jim Macintyre of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Donna & Roy Nordman of Livonia, MI, and 7 grandchildren, Jeffrey, Dylan, Jacqueline, Christopher, Colin, Erin and Isabel. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2009 from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm at James Funeral Home. The funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 pm. Burial will be in Braceville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at their home from 2:00 - 8:00 pm following the services.
