Robert Lynn Martin, age 65, of Canton passed away into eternal life on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at his residence surrounded by his loving family from an acute illness. Robert married the love of his life, Brenda VanHorn on August 24, 1984 and they enjoyed 36 blessed years of marriage together. Robert had lived in Canton since 2024 formerly of Newton Falls. 

He loved gardening, hunting, fishing, working on cars, going to concerts, especially Taylor Swift, traveling many places, watching his granddaughter play softball, and splitting wood with his family to heat his home when all the kids were younger. Robert was an Electrician working various jobs for the IBEW Local 573 for over 30 years including being lead Forman which he loved. 

Memories of Robert will be carried on by his loving family; his 2 daughters Nicole Martin of Canton, Michelle Martin of Massillon; 2 sisters Colleen Bunn of Akron, Cyndi Grant of Stow & Grandchildren Chan Vesa of Warren and Mallory Grimes of Massillon. He is preceded in death by his wife Brenda, his daughter Sarina Vesa, and his son Derek Robert Martin. Per Roberts wishes cremation has taken place and he will be laid to rest next to his Brenda in Highland Memorial Park.
