Robert (Bob) Raymond Richards, age 83, of Lake Milton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Washington Square Healthcare Center in Warren, Ohio.
Born January 22, 1943, in Baltimore, Maryland, Bob was the son of the late Raymond C. Richards and Leola B. (Murphy) Richards. He spent part of his childhood on a farm in Dayton, Ohio, lived briefly in San Diego, and was raised in Boulder Creek, California.
Bob attended San Lorenzo Valley High School in Felton, California, where he participated in track and field and choir. While serving in the United States Air Force, he married the love of his life, Gloria Jean (Simons) Richards, on June 6, 1964. They shared 59 years of marriage together.
Following his military service, Bob worked at Old Tucson Studios, Lockheed where he contributed to the thermal protection tiles on the first Space Shuttle, Joy Mining Manufacturing, Corry Manufacturing, General Motors, and retired from Home Depot six years ago.
He loved fishing and will be remembered for his strength, dedication, and the meaningful impact he had on those around him.
Bob is survived by his daughter, Melissa & Dan Luddeni of Cresco, Pennsylvania; his son, Scott & Victoria Richards of Minneola, Florida; and his grandchildren, Gabriel & Bethany Richards.
Per his wishes, cremation has taken place, and services will be held privately. He will be laid to rest alongside his wife at Lamey Cemetery in Oil City, Pennsylvania.
