Ronald L. Cross age 91 of Newton Falls passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Sunday Feb 23, 2025 at the Ohman Family Living At Briar Nursing Home in Middlefield, OH.  He was born on Jan. 20, 1934 in Parkman, OH the son of the late Ralph William Cross and Mary Belle (Petrie) Cross.  Ron married the love of his life, Janet A. McCutcheon on Nov. 27, 1956 and they have enjoyed the past 68 years of marriage together.  He has lived in Newton Falls for most of his life and graduated from Newton Falls High School in the Class of 1952.  Ron served his country in the US Army from 1956-1958.  After returning home, he worked for Rockwell International in Newton Falls for 17 years. He then went to work for the United States Postal Service (USPS) as a letter carrier for 37 years retiring in 1990.  Ron enjoyed fishing, woodworking, gardening, and especially loved his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, and 1 son: William (Billy) R. Cross.

Ron is survived by: his wife: Janet A. Cross of Newton Falls,  2 sons: Ronnie & (Debbie) Cross of Southington, David & (Twila) Cross of Southington,  1 daughter: Beth Cross Kennedy of Austintown, OH 1 brother: William R. Cross of Warren, 2 grandchildren: Joshua & (Alyssa) Cross , Matthew & (Kenedi) Cross, and 3 great grandchildren: Hunter, Hannah, &  Simeon.

Cremation has taken place.  A Celebration of Life Service will be at the  Harvest Point Church in Lordstown on Saturday March 1, 2025 at 11:00am with Rev. Garry Bates officiating.  Calling hours will be from 10:00am - 11:00am. Ron will then be laid to rest at Newton Falls Cemetery.  The family has requested that all donations please be made to the Harvest Point Church 2121 Salt Springs Rd. Warren, OH 44481 in his memory.
