Ronald Rood age 63, of Braceville passed into eternal life on April 21, 2011 at 6:00AM at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 23, 1947 in Warren, OH the son of the late Clyde C. & Henrietta May (Stone) Rood. Ronald married the love of his life, Marilyn Mays on May 15, 1971 and she survives. He had lived in the family home in Braceville all his life and was a member of the Braceville Christian Church. Ronald worked at Cooperweld for 23 years. He also worked at Rockwell International from 1967 to 1976 and Dillion Products for 7 years before retiring in 2008. He enjoyed lawn work, having the family and friends together for gatherings. Ronald volunteered at the church doing construction of the new edition and other odds and ends. He most of all loved spoiling the grandchildren. Ronald loved to ride motorcycles. Memories of Ronald will be carried on by his loving family; his wife Marilyn of Braceville; his daughter & son-in-law Vanessa & Rich Chamberlain; his son & daughter-in-law Ronald F. & Rebecca Rood, Jr.; his sister & brother-in-law Benjamin & Wanda Young; his brother & sister-in-law James E. & Linda Cutting all of Braceville; his sister-in-law Helen Rood of Mecca; and 2 grandchildren Ty and Teegan Chamberlin. Ronald is preceeded in death by his parents, and five sisters, Irene Tennant, Doris Evans, Maxine Standfield, Florance Rood, Orpha Hicks and two brothers, Leroy Rood & Charles Rood. Calling hours will be at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Monday, April 25, 2011 from 5:00 to 7:00PM. Funeral Services will on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 11:00AM at the funeral home.
