Rosemary J. Smith age 84 of Braceville passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Friday Jan. 13, 2012 at St. Joseph Eastland Hospital due to complications from a stroke. She was born on February 21, 1927 in Withamsville, OH the daughter of the late George Budur and Elizabeth (Barath) Budur. She married Harry W. Smith on June 26, 1948, and they enjoyed 52 years of marriage together before he passed away on Nov. 1, 2000. She has resided in Braceville since 1969, and formerly of Batavia, OH. Rosemary was employed as a secretary at Hiram College for many years. She also was a member of the Windham United Methodist Church, the Crosstrailers Square Dance Club in Howland, and the Friday Night Golf League at Forest Oaks Golf Course. Rosemary is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harry, 1 sister Elizabeth Vonderscher and 3 brothers George, Nicholas, and Henry Budur. Memories of Rosemary will be carried on by her: 2 daughters: Bonnie & Terry Nye of Zephyrhills Fl, Sandra & Joseph Kovacs of Newton Falls, OH, 2 sons: Gary W. Smith of Salt Lake City, UT Steven W. Smith of Braceville, OH, and 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends for calling hours at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Monday Jan 16, 2012 from 5 to 7 pm. Funeral services will follow at 7:00PM. Pastor Lisa Kropinkak will officiate. Rosemary will be laid to rest beside her husband Harry at Braceville Cemetery.
