Russell O. Davis, age 85 of Newton Falls passed away peacefully into eternal rest on May 24, 2026 at 4:05 pm with his family by his side. He was born on September 15, 1940 in Warren, OH, the son of the late Russell Davis & Lafon (Blevins) Davis. Russell married the love of his life, Betty Lou Sereno on June 13, 1975 and they enjoyed 47 years of marriage together until her death on Feb. 17, 2023. He has lived in Newton Falls since 1993 formerly of Windham, OH. Russell worked as an Assembler for General Motors in Lordstown for 30 years before retiring in 1996, and was a member of the UAW #1112. He enjoyed walking, biking, and doing his yard work. Russell is preceded in death by his parents, his wife: Betty Lou Davis, 3 sisters: Bonnie & Shirley Davis, Marilyn Neal, and 2 brothers James & Earl Davis.

He is survived by 5 daughters: Judith (Mark) Muehlbauer of Howland, Theresa (Ronald) Ayers of North Canton OH, Christina (Edward) Schier of Ashtabula, OH, LaFonda (James) Bejger of Twinsburg, OH, Mary Davis Ganganna (Willie Cook) of Olney, MD 2 sons: Russell Jr (Kathy) Davis of Sparks, NV, Rodger Davis of Champion, OH, 2 stepsons: Mark (Deborah) Johnson of Salem, OH, Kurt (Andi) Johnson of Freedom, OH, 3 sisters: Linda (Joe) Toth of Niles, OH, Sandra Solic of Youngstown, OH, Debra Ward of Lordstown, 17 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to his brother in laws: Edgel (Sonny) Soreno, Thomas (Cheech) Sereno and Bill Friend, and also good friends Hyman & Johnny Leatherwood of Lordstown for your continued love and support that he enjoyed your daily conversations with him over the past 3 years.

Funeral Services will be held at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Saturday May 30, 2026 at 12:00pm with Pastor Jennifer Dorn officiating. Calling hours will be from 11:00am - 12:00pm. Russell will be laid to rest beside his wife Betty at Newton Falls Cemetery. The family has requested that all donations please be made to: Mercy Health Hospice of the Valley by Compassus 979 Tippetts- Wick Rd. Girard, OH 44420 in his memory.
