Ruth Fihn, age 79, of Newton Falls, OH, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 23, 2011, at Hospice House in Poland with her loving family by her side. Ruth was born on January 12, 1932, the daughter of Eldon and Ethel (Chapman) Fullwiler. Ruth lived most of her life in Newton Falls. She married the love of her life Paul G. Fihn on May 8,1948, who passed away on January 10, 1998. Ruth liked to do crafts, read, gardening, flowers and cooking for her family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Ruth was a member of and baptized at the Cortland First Church of God in 2006. She was preceded in death by one son Roger Fihn, two sisters Dorothy Crooks and Lena Taucher, and two brothers Richard and Roger Fullwiler. Ruth will be greatly missed by her daughters and their husbands RoseMary and Robert Woolard of Leavittsburg, Regina and James Kline of Newton Falls, Sandra and Thomas VanDyke of Howland, her son and his wife Paul and Cindy Fihn of Leavittsburg, 7 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. Cremation has taken place and there will be no services in respect of Ruth's wishes. Material contributions can take the form of donations to Hospice of the Valley in Poland.
