NEWTON FALLS : Ruth Violet Georgia Jenkins, age 85 of Newton Falls passed away peacefully into eternal life on Sunday July 14, 2013 at Windsor House in Champion. Ruth was born on February 22, 1928, in Warren, the daughter of the late Theodore & Ellen (Isaacson) Rintala. Ruth married the love of her life, Norman T. Jenkins on November 23, 1950 and they enjoyed 41 years of marriage together before he passed away on July 10, 1991. Ruth was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit in Warren for the past 15 years. Ruth had lived in the Newton Falls & Braceville area all of her life. She worked as a postal clerk for Leavittsburg Post Office for many years. Ruth also filled in as part time Postmaster for the Newton Falls, North Jackson and Southington Post Office's. Some of Ruth's passions were reading christian material, reading the Bible, and watching the Cleveland Indians. Memories of Ruth will be carried on by her loving family; daughter: Cathy & Robert Lane of Braceville; son: David & Debbie Jenkins of Champion; daughter in law:Jessica Jenkins, sister: Arlene Games of Harrisburg, PA; brother-in-law Roger Burns of Winter Haven, FL; sister-in-law Mona Rintala of The Villages, FL; brother in law: Leonard Powell of Cortland, OH, 7 grandchildren Crystal Goodrich, Michael Lane, Carleena Garro, Tawnya Stevens-Jenkins, Shayna & Matt Boyer, David & Heidi Jenkins, SFC Jeremy Jenkins, Brian Jenkins, Jessica Jenkins and Jason Jenkins; & 11 great-grandchildren. Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Norman, son Roger Jenkins; sisters: Vivian Burns, Linda Powell, & brother Ted Rintala. Funeral Services will be held at the Church of Holy Spirit, 1996 Coit Dr. NW, Warren, Ohio 44485 on Wednesday July 17, 2013 at 11:00 am with calling hours held one hour prior to service time from 10:00 to 11:00 am. Ruth will be laid to rest beside her husband Norman at Braceville Twp. Cemetery.
