Ruth Lee Mitchell, age 81 of Southington passed into eternal life on July 2, 2016 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital with her loving family by her side. On March 11, 1935 in Philippi, WV Edgar Monroe & Madeline Gray (Queen) Richards were blessed with the birth of their daughter, Ruth. Ruth married the love of her life, Willard Eugene "Hank" on October 17, 1954 and they enjoyed 61 years of marriage together. Ruth had lived in Southington for 39 years formerly of Warren. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, cooking and growing flowers. Memories of Ruth will be carried on by her loving family; her husband, Hank of Southington, her son & daughter-in-law, David & Jennifer Mitchell of Southington and one grandson, Matthew also of Southington who was the apple of her eye. Ruth was preceded in death by one son, Willard E. Jr. and brothers, Floyd, Delano & Lynn Richards. Ruth has been cremated and there will be a private service for the family.
