Ruth Alberta (Snowden)Thompson, 77 of Lake Milton entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 19, 2014 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital. Ruth was born on November 3, 1936 in Youngstown, the daughter of Bruce & Rachael (Harding) Weaver. She has lived in the Lake Milton area her entire life. Ruth was a homemaker and in her earlier years a cook at St. Joseph's Hospital in Warren. Her greatest pride was being a minister's wife. Ruth was a member of Lake Milton Baptist Temple. Ruth enjoyed playing bingo at St. Catherines and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an avid Cleveland Browns, Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Indians fan. Loving memories of Ruth will be carried on by her daughters, Sandra S. Snowden with whom she made her home, Cynthia L. Snowden, Erma (Joseph) Quimby all of Lake Milton, her son, William (Judy) Snowden of Berlin Center, brother, Glen (Sally) Weaver of New Middletown, 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Jean K. Lelesch, Margaret Main, Delores Weaver, her brother, Thomas S. Weaver, a grandson, Derek S. Quimby and by the Father of her children, Rev. William L. Snowden. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2014 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at James Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
