S. Ray McNemar passed away peacefully at his home, Saturday, April 27, 2024 with his loving family by his side. Ray was born on July 29, 1930 in Copen WV son of the late Harvey Lewis and Ruby Elizabeth (Nicholson) McNemar. Ray married the love of his life, Ida M Frantz on October 18, 1969. They have enjoyed 54 years together. Ray and Ida have lived in their home in Newton Falls for 30 plus years formerly of the Warren/Leavittsburg area. He enjoyed camping and traveling with his wife and children when they were young. In recent years he enjoyed spending time with his family and enjoying the view sitting on his porch.  Ray worked as a WEMR at GM Lordstown for over 25 years retiring in 1994. He was a member of the Edinburg First Church of God. Memories of Ray will be carried on by his wife, Ida M McNemar of Newton Falls. Daughters Jessica Ensell of Newton Falls, MaryJo Wymer of Warren and Amberly McNemar of Southington. Son and his wife Aaron and Kristi McNemar of Kent . Sisters Veda Cottrill and Margie Beam both of Copen WV.  14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.  Ray was preceded in death by his parents Harvey and Ruby McNemar, two sons Raymond Lewis and Jonathan E. McNemar Sr. and two brothers Forest and Gary McNemar.

The family will receive friends at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls Tuesday April 30, 2024 from 6 to 8PM . Funeral services will be at the funeral home Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at 11:00AM where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Ray will be layed to rest in Newton Falls Cemetery.
