Sharon Erene Valot age 76 of Newton Falls was called home on Wednesday March 14, 2024. She was born on Feb. 15, 1948 in Muskogee, Oklahoma the daughter of the late to George S. Cousparis and Billie P. (Bales) Cousparis. She was the oldest of 4 children. As a child she had a love for dance that she shared with her brother. Her family moved around quite a bit growing up. They eventually landed in Newton Falls, Ohio. Sharon would go on to graduate from Newton Falls High School in the Class of 1966 and also meet Cal Sherman. The two would marry and settle in Warren Ohio. Eventually they would welcome their daughter Susan into this world. Not long after Sharon decided she wanted to be a nurse and her passion for caring for others ignited. Her first marriage ended and she would bravely continue school and raising her daughter on her own. During this time she met the love of her life, Kenneth E. Valot.  After completing nursing school and starting her career at Trumbull Memorial Hospital, her and Ken decided to marry and would combine their families to include Brian Valot, Chris Valot, Susan Sherman, and Douglas Valot. They would build a beautiful life together that will be fondly remembered by their children, their children's friends, and their grandchildren. She would go on to further her nursing career at The Warren Gastroenterology Clinic where she would eventually retire. There are so many fond memories of Sharon that we look forward to sharing with you. Her memory will be carried on by her husband Kenneth, her sisters Tina and Lynna, her brother Steve, her children Brian, Christopher, Susan, and Douglas. As well as by her 9 grandchildren Nathan Sherman, Olivia Valot, Brady Valot, Dylan Valot, Jace Valot, Allyson Valot, Courtney Valot, Adalynn Dade, and Jackson Dade. They were the light of her life.

Funeral services will be at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Thursday March 21, 2024 at 12:00pm with Rev. Steve Spurlock officiating.  Calling hours will be from 10:00am - 12:00pm.  She will be laid to rest at Lutheran Cemetery in Newton Falls.
