Sonya (Quinn) Diaz, age 39 of Paris Twp passed away on Friday, December 25, 2015 due to injuries sustained when a van went left of center on St. Rt. 5 and killed her instantly. She was born on Oct. 1, 1976 in Warren, OH the daughter of Earl S. Quinn and Barbara A. (Gardner) Quinn. Sonya married the love of her life, Joseph A. Diaz on November 4, 1999 and they were blessed with 16 years of marriage together. Sonya & Joe had lived in Ravenna for 2 1/2 years formerly of Wayland. Sonya was a wonderful mother and wife who loved spending time with family and friends. She had an infectious personality, and a big heart and would do anything for anyone. In her spare time, Sonya enjoyed selling stuff and always keeping busy. Memories of Sonya will be carried on by her loving family; her husband Joseph A. Diaz of Paris Twp; her son Gavin Diaz also of Paris Twp; her sister Kathy Steele-Hunter of Hilliard, FL; her brothers Earl (Butch) & Mary Quinn of Austintown, Robert & Vicky Steele of Blairsville, GA, John & Tami Steele of Warren, & Dan Steele of Jacksonville, FL. Cremation has taken place. The family will be having a memorial service to celebrate Sonya's life at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Saturday January 2, 2016 at 3:00 pm. Calling hours will be one hour prior to service time. After the service the family is gathering at 611 Ridge Rd. in Newton Falls. This is the party room at the Newton Village Apartments.
