Steve Pelo, age 83 of Lordstown, passed away peacefully into eternal life on Friday June 3, 2016 at Altercare Transitional Care of the Western Reserve in Stow. Steve was born on January 14, 1933 in Paris Twp., the son of the late Mike & Mary (Stehnei) Pelo. Steve married the former Fay Adams on January 14, 1953. Steve and Fay have been blessed with 63 years of marriage. Steve was a veteran of the US Army. Steve was employed as a tool & die maker and supervisor with Packard. Steve was a member of the Lordstown Lutheran Church. He was a volunteer fireman for many years with the Lordstown Vol. Fire Dept. and served on the Lordstown Water Board. Memories of Steve will be carried on by his loving family; his wife Fay Pelo of Lordstown, daughters, Gail (Raymond) DeGarmo of Patriot, Nina Joy Pelo of Newton Falls, Myra (Robin) Scott of Girard, Lisa Fay Pelo of Clayton, IN, Iva Nan Johnson of Indianapolis, IN, sons, Andrew (Anita) Pelo of Mentone, IN, Mark (Kathy) Pelo of Wexford, PA, sister, Margaret Phile of Atwater, 19 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Steve was preceded in death by sisters, Marie Scott, Ann Korosech and brothers, Charles, Andy, Frank, Joe Pelo and George & Mike Palo. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2016 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at James Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1:00 pm.
