Steven Paul Jewell "Dawg", 59 of Newton Falls, passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at St. Elizabeth's in Youngstown. He was born on April 3, 1966 in Warren; the son of Braden S. and Geraldine C. (Shields) Jewell.

A lifetime area resident and a graduate of Newton Falls High School; Steve worked as a machinist at Bar Processing for 30 years, retiring in 2019. His favorite past times were spent hunting, fishing, riding four-wheelers and motorcycles.

Steve is survived by his wife Paula of 34 years.  They were married on April 6, 1991. Also surviving him is his mother Geraldine Jewell of Newton Falls;  a brother Kevin (Tammy) Jewell of Deerfield; daughter, Samantha Dean (Aaron Gillespie) of Niles, two sons Steven (Rebecca) Jewell and Johnnie Jewell (Darlina Smith) both of Newton Falls; granddaughters; Addilyn, Mia and Zoe Dean, Kylie Jewell, Emery Jewell and a grandson, Steven Jewell.

He was preceded in death by his father, Braden and two brothers, Samuel and Fredrick Jewell. According to his wishes, no calling hours or services will be held and cremation will take place.
