Sue Carol Shingler age 83 formerly of Warren passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Friday morning Nov. 21, 2014 at Laurie Ann Nursing Home in Newton Falls. She was born on June 11, 1931 in Warren, OH the daughter of the late Algie Reed Dakin and Sue Florence (Parry) Dakin. Sue graduated from Warren G. Harding High School in 1949, and was a lifetime resident of Warren. Sue was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church and the OES (Order of Eastern Star) in Warren for many years. Sue loved quilting, camping, gardening, flowers, and feeding her birds. She is preceded in death by her parents, and 3 sisters: Jeanie Luscombe, Marion Gettig, and Lois Keith. Memories of Sue will be carried on by: her 3 daughters: Susan & David Crowe of Pell City, AL, Barbara Andrews of Charleston, SC, Dawn Marie & Raymond Kovacs of Newton Falls, 1 sister: Nancy Hart of Chardon, OH, 7 grandchildren, and 3 great- grandchildren. Per Sue's request, cremation has taken place, and there will be no services. The family would like to thank the staff at Laurie Ann Nursing Home for the wonderful care they gave our mother during her stay.
