Sylvia Ann Clonch, age 76 of Newton Falls entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 30, 2013 at St. Joseph's Health Center. Sylvia was born at home in Newton Falls on June 22, 1936, the daughter of John & Mary (Polois) Travers. She has lived in Newton Falls her entire life and was a devoted homemaker to her family. Sylvia married James Willard Clonch on August 19, 1954, Sylvia and Willard were married for 43 years before his passing on May 26, 1997. She was a member of the Pricetown Methodist Church and the Baptist Bible Church in Paris Twp. Sylvia was also a past member of the Hobby Hunters in Newton Falls. Sylvia loved to travel and spent her winters in Davenport, Florida. She enjoyed playing cards and going to casinos, her favorite being Las Vegas. Loving memories of Sylvia will be carried on by her daughter, Leah Ann Clonch, sons and daughters-in-law, Darrell & Dena Clonch, Danny & Tracy Clonch, daughter-in-law, Cindy Clonch, all of Newton Falls, grandchildren, Tatiana Clonch, Brittany (Matthew) Leek, Sierra (George Workman) Pennington, Jared (Kristen Chizmar) Clonch, Danielle Clonch, Nicole (Jim) Niemi, Ryan (Brittany Calai) Clonch, Patricia Pence and great-grandchildren, Caden & Chace Clonch and Taylor & Collin Niemi. Sylvia was preceeded in death by her son, Terry Clonch. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2013 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at James Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday at the funeral home at 11:00 am. Sylvia will be laid to rest next to her husband, James at Newton Falls Cemetery.
