Antonios Batianis, age 71, of Oviedo, FL, passed away peacefully into eternal life on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his family. Tony was born on June 21, 1945, in Eratera, Greece, the son of the late James A. & Despina (Claros) Batianis. Tony married the love of his life, Maureen K. Mohan on August 8, 1966 and they enjoyed 25 years of marriage together before she passed away on December 7, 1991.Tony worked as a steel worker for Republic Steel for 24 years before retiring in 1991.Tony was a member of the US Army serving during the Vietnam War. Memories of Tony will be carried on by his loving family: his two daughters Christina (Ron) Inmon of Oviedo, FL and Mary Kay Ranski of Roaming Shores, OH; his sister Thomai Batianis of Clearwater Beach, FL; 4 grandchildren Nicholas & Ashley Ranski, and Demetri & Calista Inmon, and in laws Joyce Owen, Judy Mohan, Dennis & Sharie Mohan, Patrick & Bev Mohan, Michelle Mohan and 11 nieces & nephews. Tony enjoyed spending time at the Florida Gulf Coast beaches soaking in the sun and chasing after his grandkids. Calling hours will be at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Sunday, November 20, 2016 from 1 to 3PM. Funeral Services will be at the funeral home on Monday, November 21, 2016 at 11AM. Tony will be laid to rest next to his wife, Maureen, in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Newton Falls. Tony is preceeded in death by his parents, his wife, one brother Thomas Batianis, and one brother-in-law Terrance.
