Mrs. Virginia M. White, age 87, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on August 9, 2026. She was born on November 3, 1938, in Long Island, New York, a daughter of the late Theresa Gress & David M McNevin
A woman of deep faith and generous heart, Virginia was a beloved and active parishioner and volunteer at Queen of the Holy Rosary Church in Vienna. She will be deeply missed by the wonderful group of women she so enjoyed spending time with while making rosaries together. She dedicated much of her life in loving service to others, regularly volunteering at the local soup kitchen in Warren and touching the lives of many within her community. Above all, Virginia treasured her family; her warmth and thoughtfulness were legendary, and she famously never forgot a birthday.
She is survived by her devoted children: Patrick (Dee deceased) White of Brookfield, Ohio, Mary (Christopher) Holliday of Newton Falls, Ohio, Christine (Bill) Collier of Las Vegas, Nevada, John White of Niles, Ohio, Thomas White of Niles, Ohio
She also leaves behind her ten cherished grandchildren: Rhonda White, Shayna White, Isaiah White, Monica Holliday, Christopher Holliday Jr., Mark Holliday, Amanda Collier, Taranea Lamon, Zander White, and Isaac White; as well as her loving sisters and brother, Patricia Frank, Helen Cramer, and Vincent McNevin.
Virginia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carl J. White Jr.; her mother, Theresa Gress; her sisters, Theresa Harker, Daisy Beall, Shirley Bays, and Rose Gress; and her brothers, David (Barbara) McNevin, William Gress, and Francis Gress.
Virginia was blessed with countless dear friends whose lives were enriched by her kindness, quick smile, and constant encouragement. She will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to call her a friend.
