Obituary

Walter T. Rydzak, 88, passed away peacefully after a brief illness at Kaseman Hospice Center at 6:05 a.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2011, surrounded by his loving family. Walter is survived by his wife of 60 years, Rita Tomko Rydzak; children, James (Jeanne) Rydzak, Gloria (Larry) Rydzak Dye and Carol Rydzak; grandsons, Gregory and Matthew Rydzak; sister, Berniece Krol of Newton Falls, OH; and brothers, Chester Rydzak of San Antonio, TX and Frank Rydzak of Lindale, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Julia Rydzak, and brother, Anthony Rydzak. Walter served in the 52nd Ordnance Group of the United States Army from 1944 to 1946. He was a member of Zia Clock Club and The National Clock Club. Walter was a machinist, tool, die and instrument maker, among the many places he worked were Ravenna Arsenal, Van Huffel, and retiring from Wean United in Warren. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 5:00 pm Sunday June 5, 2011 at James Funeral Home in Newton Falls. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Monday at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Sts. Mary & Joseph Catholic Church at 11:00 am with Father David Merzweiler officiating. Walter will be laid to rest at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Newton Falls.
