Wanda W. Davidson, age 92 of Newton Falls passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at Laurie Ann Nursing Home. She was born on February 2, 1920 in National, WV the daughter of the late Dane Malone & Mary Ella (Heinze) Malone. Wanda married Dana R. Davidson Sr. on June 22, 1940 in West Virginia and they moved to Newton Falls in 1952. Dana passed away on April 17, 1977 after 36 years of marriage. She was a devoted mother and housewife. Wanda was a member of the First Church of God in Newton Falls where for many years she was in charge of arranging the funeral dinners. She enjoyed cross stitch, knitting and quilting. Wanda is survived by her daughter, Sharon Popovnak of McCormic, SC, sons, Terry Davidson of Warren, William Davidson of Newton Falls, Dana & Penny Davidson Jr. of Newton Falls, 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Dana, two sisters, Lydia Kincel and Evelyn McGettigan and five brothers, Arnold, Bill, Earl, Charles and Cliff Malone. Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 13, 2012 from 10:00 - 11:00 am at the First Church of God in Newton Falls. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11:00 am with Rev. Arnold Edmondson officiating. Wanda will be laid to rest next to her husband Dana at Hawley Cemetery in Paris Twp.
