Warren Drake age 90 of Braceville passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Friday Dec. 15, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown.  He was born on Nov. 22, 1933 in Ivydale, WV the son of the late Everett Drake and Etta (Johnson) Drake.  Warren married the love of his life, Opal Marie Carte on March 21, 1959 and they have enjoyed 64 wonderful years of marriage together.  He worked as a steel worker at Rockwell International in Newton Falls for 19 1/2 years until it closed in 1977.  Warren loved playing bluegrass music, hunting, fishing, running marathons in his youth, riding his bicycle, and collecting old bottles.  He is preceded in death by his parents, 1 daughter: Kathy Drake, 1 son: Jimmy Drake, 4 sisters, and 3 brothers.

Warren is survived by: his wife: Opal M. Drake of Braceville, 1 daughter: Norma & Chris Webb of Newton Falls, 1 son: Darris Drake of Newton Falls, 1 sister: Mildred Dohner of Creston, OH, 3 grandchildren: Nicole, Caleb, Sonya and 1 great grandchild on the way.

Funeral Services will be at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Wednesday Dec. 20, 2023 at 1:00pm with Pastor David Cross officiating.  Calling hours will be from 12:00- 1:00pm.  He will be laid to rest next to his daughter Kathy at Hawley Cemetery in Paris Twp, OH.
