Wayne Adams, age 81, of Lordstown, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 3, 2019, at Brookdale of Austintown Nursing Home. He was born on April 25, 1937 in Warren, OH, the son of the late Joseph Scriven Adams and Beatrice Naomi (Brobst) Adams. Wayne served in the Ohio National Guard from Feb. 1955 - Feb. 1961 achieving the rank of Staff Sgt. (E-6). Shortly after that he met and married the love of his life, Wilma H. Raskob on Oct. 26, 1963, and they have enjoyed 55 years of wonderful marriage together. He worked as an electrical engineer contractor for the military, working across Europe and Libya. He also worked for 14 years as a field engineer for IBM, where he fixed and maintained mainframe computers. After working at IBM he went on to work at and support many other computer support companies. Wayne also worked for the US Forestry Service for 2 years planting trees in Colorado. Wayne was a long time member of the Farm Bureau and loved farming, being outdoors & helping his neighbors. He also loved traveling, and being with his grandchildren. Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Fay Pelo.

He is survived by: his wife: Wilma H. Adams of Lordstown, 2 daughters: Janet Adams-Cerimele of Lordstown, Vera Adams of Arlington, VA, 1 son: Kevin Adams and his long time companion Paula, and her son, Graeson, of Newton Falls, 1 sister: Jo Ann Smith & David Hileman of Patriot, OH, 2 grandchildren: Lindsey N. Cerimele of Columbus, OH, and Gina R. Cerimele of Lordstown.

Calling hours will be at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Tuesday Jan. 8, 2019 from 5:00- 8:00pm. Funeral services will be at the funeral home on Wednesday Jan. 9, 2019 at 11:00 am with Pastor Kenny Church officiating. Wayne will be laid to rest beside his parents at Lutheran Cemetery in Newton Falls.
