Willard Eugene "Hank" Mitchell, age 81 of Southington entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 7, 2017 at his home. Hank was born on June 5, 1936 in Grafton, WV the son of Elbern Elwood & Goldie Gale (Bolyard) Mitchell. Hank married the love of his life, the former Ruth Lee Richards on October 17, 1954. Hank and Ruth were blessed with 61 years of marriage until her passing on July 2, 2016. Hank worked as a steel worker for Republic Steel in his earlier years. He then became a truck driver for CJ Rogers for over 30 years before retiring in 1996. He enjoyed building diesel engines, rebuilding antique furniture, tractors and lawn mowers. Memories of Hank will be carried on by his loving family; son David (Jennifer) Mitchell of Southington, sisters; Willadene (Sam) Pisino, Carolyn Hovatter all of Grafton, WV; brother Glen (Jean) Mitchell of Southington; and his grandson: his best buddy: Matthew Mitchell of Southington. Hank was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth and his son, Willard E. Mitchell Jr. Per Hank's wishes, cremation has taken place. Private family services will be held. Hank will be laid to rest with his wife at Graham Cemetery in Southington.
