Willard S. O'Leary, age 70 of Braceville passed away peacefully at his residence on Monday, September 7, 2015. He was born on June 20, 1945 in Warren, OH the son of the late Eugene D. & Martha M. (Purbaugh) O'Leary. He has been a resident of Braceville since 1970, formerly of Leavittsburg. Willard married the former Shirley Jane Griffeth on September 11, 1970. Willard and Shirley have been blessed with 45 wonderful years of marriage. Willard was a veteran of the US Navy serving in Vietnam. He was also a member of the National Guard. He retired in 2001 after 31 years as a forklift operator at Delphi Packard in Warren. He was of the non-denominational faith and belonged to the Living Word Sanctuary in Warren. He was a member of the VFW. Willard enjoyed home remodeling, cars, music and in his earlier years, playing in bands. Memories of Willard will be carried on by his loving family, his wife, Shirley O'Leary of Braceville, daughters, Pamela (Dennis) Owens of FL, Rochelle DeMoss of Streetsboro, his son, Shane O'Leary of Newton Falls, sisters, JoAnn Simmons of PA, Sandra Merlino of Youngstown, brother, David (Lynette) O'Leary of Southington, grandchildren, Jesika Owens, Danyelle Terry, Dennis Owens, Diana Terry, Sabrina Owens, Presley O'Leary, Chase O'Leary, Kirsten Terry, Katelyn O'Leary and great granddaughter, Anabell Ocana. Willard was preceded in death by his parents. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 from 10:00 - 11:00 am at James Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am. Willard will be laid to rest at Braceville Cemetery. Luncheon to follow at YWCA in Warren. All are welcome to attend.
