IN LOVING MEMORY OF
William A.
Addison
February 21, 1949 – February 13, 2025
William A. Addison, age 75, of Warren, Ohio, passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown.
Born on February 21, 1949, in Youngstown, William was the beloved son of the late Alfred Addison Jr. and Alta S. (Gibbons) Addison. From a young age, he carried a deep sense of duty and dedication that would define his life.
On October 2, 1971, William married the love of his life, Debra Anne Martin, and together they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion. Their 53 years of marriage were a testament to their deep bond, a partnership rooted in faith, commitment, and the joy of family.
William served his country with honor in the United States Navy for 20 years, from 1971 to 1991. His time in the military shaped him into a man of resilience and strength, always putting others before himself. After retiring from the Navy, he continued his hard-working spirit as a truck driver for A & H Trucking in Garfield Heights, Ohio, for over a decade until his retirement in 2017.
Beyond his work and service, William found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a deep love for the outdoors—whether hunting, fishing, or simply taking in the beauty of nature. He was also an avid wrestling fan and enjoyed unwinding with his favorite television shows. But above all, he cherished the time spent with his family, who meant everything to him.
William was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Barbara Jenkins and Gayle Spencer, his brother Paul Estlack, and his grandson Brett Tyler Addison.
He leaves behind his devoted wife, Debra A. Addison of Warren; his three sons, Thomas (Marie) Addison of Newton Falls, Matthew (Ruth) Addison of Lufkin, Texas, and Timothy (Kassey) Addison of Coos Bay, Oregon; his three sisters, Ginger (Robert) Canankamp of Diamond, Ohio, Juanita (Richard) Carson of Homosassa Springs, Florida, and Paula (John) Lobaugh of Youngstown; and seven beloved grandchildren who were the light of his life.
Though he is no longer with us, William's legacy of love, strength, and dedication will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His family finds comfort in knowing that he is at peace, reunited with those who have gone before him.
Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will take place at a later date.
May he rest in eternal peace, forever remembered and deeply missed.
