William "Bill" C. Davis, 82, passed away peacefully with family at his side, on Sunday January 6, 2013. Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio to William Calvin and Frances (Taylor) Davis, Bill graduated from Brush High School in 1948, where he was captain of the basketball and track teams and clarinet player in various bands, and where he made lifelong loyal friends. He is a Brush Sports Hall of Fame inductee. When raising a family and building his dream house took precedence, he continued to be athletically active in competitive handball and then racquetball. Following graduation from Fenn College and then Ohio State University with post - graduate degrees in mechanical and electrical engineering, Bill enjoyed a long career at TRW in Euclid, Ohio, retiring in 1993 as Senior Engineer. Bill is survived by Ruth, his devoted wife of 52 years; his son Bill Davis and wife Beth; son Ben Davis and wife Maureen; daughter Kim Davis and husband Gary Austin; and grandchildren W. Francis, Caroline, Madeleine and Jack. Bill requested a family only service.
