"Frank" Howard

William Franklin "Frank" Howard, 88 of Newton Falls entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Washington Square Nursing Home following a courageous battle with cancer. Frank was born on May 8, 1927 in Pineville, KY, the son of the late Fred Clifford & Vesta (Wilson) Howard. Frank has lived in Newton Falls for the past 50 years and wintered in Tarpon Springs, FL. Frank married the former Rosemarie Church, the love of his life on April 9, 1949. They have been blessed with 66 wonderful years of marriage. Frank was a veteran of the US Navy serving during WWII on the USS Bolster. Frank worked for GM Packard Electric as an Artist Cutter for 40 years retiring in 1987. He was a member of the First Church of God in Newton Falls, Newton Falls Masonic Lodge #462, Scottish Rite, Shriners and the Newton Falls VFW. Frank enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, and bowling on the church league, but Frank's greatest enjoyment was family cookouts. Loving memories of Frank will be carried on by his wife, Rosemarie Howard of Newton Falls, sons, Ronald (Dee) Howard of Newton Falls,Timothy (Cathy) Howard of Newton Falls, Eddy (Patty) Howard of Jamestown, PA, Mark Howard of Tarpon Springs, FL, sister, Zelma (Donald) Sipka of Newton Falls, brother, Fred (Helen) Howard of Newton Falls, 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Frank was preceeded in death by his sister, Clara Evans and his brothers, Thomas, Edward and Arthur Howard. A Masonic Service will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 4:30 p.m. at James Funeral Home where calling hours will follow from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the First Church of God. Family will accept friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 am at the church. Frank will be laid to rest at Newton Falls Cemetery. The family asks that contributions be given to the Endowment Fund at the First Church of God, 426 W. Broad St., Newton Falls, OH 44444.
