Betty Lou (Sereno) Davis

Betty Lou Davis age 87 of Newton Falls passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Friday morning Feb 17, 2023 at her home.  She was born on October 18, 1935 in Hutton, MD the daughter of the late Edgel Paul Sereno & Estafee (Jackson) Sereno. Betty married the love of her life, Russell O. Davis on June 13, 1975 and they have enjoyed the past 47 years of marriage together. She has lived in Newton Falls since 1993 formerly of Windham, OH.  Betty enjoyed reading, walking with her husband, and writing poetry.  She is preceded in death by her parents, 4 sisters:  Eleanor Gallagher, Irene Canan, Mary Dewitt and Deborah Alexander.

She is survived by: her husband- Russell O. Davis of Newton Falls, 2 sons: Mark (Debbie) Johnson of Salem, OH, Kurt  (Andi) Johnson of Freedom, OH,  5 step-daughters: Judith (Mark) Muehbauer of Howland, Theresa (Ronald) Ayers of Canton, OH, Christina (Edward) Schier of Ashtabula, OH, Lafonda (James) Bejger of Twinsburg, OH, Mary (Willie) Ganganna of Olney, Virginia., 2 step- sons: Russell (Kathy) Davis Jr. of Sparks, NV, Rodger Davis of Warren, OH, 2 sisters, Helen Roth of Oakland, MD, Jackie Sereno of Hutton, MD, 2 brothers: Edgel (Mitzi) Sereno of Potomac, MD, Tom (Diane) Sereno of Hutton, MD, 17 grandchildren,  9 great grandchildren, The family will like to thank her best friends: Barbara Moody of Newton Falls and Denette Leavengood of Hiram .

Funeral Services will be held at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on Thursday, February 23, 2023  at 12:00pm with Father David Merzweiler officiating.  Calling hours will be one hour prior to service time from 11:00am - 12::00pm.  Betty will be laid to rest at Newton Falls Cemetery.
