Carolyn Simpson Obituary

Carolyn H. Simpson age 82 of Newton Falls passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Tuesday March 21, 2023 at St. Joseph Eastland Hospital in Warren.  She was born on May 21, 1940 in Pine Bank, PA the daughter of the late Arnold Victor King and Ardeth (Kiger) King. Carolyn married the love of her life, David Clarence Simpson on Feb. 23, 1957 and they have enjoyed the past 66 years of marriage together.  She has lived in Newton Falls since 1971, formerly of Cleveland. Carolyn worked as a short order cook for Cangemi's Restaurant in Newton Falls for 13 years retiring in 1985.  She was a member of the General Assembly Church of God for many years.  Carolyn loved shopping, watching TV, her pets, and was a very social person.  She is preceded in death by her parents, and 1 brother: William King.

Carolyn is survived by: her husband: David C. Simpson of Newton Falls, 2 daughters: Helen & Michael Johnson of Columbus, OH, Denice Sayres of El Paso, TX, 1 son: Ray & Kay Robinson of Newton Falls, 6 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren all of which they adopted as their own.

Funeral services will be at the General Assembly Church of God in Newton Falls on Tuesday March 28, 2023 at 11:00am with Rev. Mitch Meadors officiating.  Calling hours will be at the church on Monday March 27, 2023 from 5:00- 7:00pm.  Carolyn will be laid to rest in Newton Falls Cemetery.  The family has requested that all donations please be made to the: General Assembly Church of God 2021 East River Rd. Newton Falls, OH 44444 in her memory.
