Professor Gary L. Stefaniak age 77 of Newton Falls passed away from COVID at St. Joseph Hospital in Warren. He was born on March 4, 1944 in Warren, OH the son of the late John G. Stefaniak and Elizabeth (Serotko) Stefaniak.
Gary was a graduate of Newton Falls High School. Following high school he went on to serve in the U.S. Army serving the 412the Missile Battalion in the Panama Canal. After being honorably discharged from the Army, Gary went to Kent State University and obtained his Master's degree in teaching where he later was hired as a professor, retiring in 1999 after 20 years. He was a member of the Newton Falls Masonic Lodge # 462 where he was 32and degree Mason and Scottish Rite Valley of Youngstown. He enjoyed antiquing, golfing and motorcycling and was an avid Ohio State fan.
Gary will be missed deeply missed by his son, Jason, brother, Paul (Darla) Stefaniak, niece Nicole Stefaniak, granddaughter, Acacia Stefaniak, one great grandchild and a multitude of his previous students.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has taken place, and there will be no services.
