Harry E Reider Jr.

Harry E. Reider, Jr. age 91 of Newton Falls passed away peacefully with his family by his side on February 24, 2023 at his residence. He was born on February 28, 1931 in Barnesboro, PA the son of the late Harry E. Reider Sr. & Violet (Davis) Reider. He married the love of his life, Mildred Jean Bartek on July 22, 1952 and they enjoyed 66 years of marriage together until she passed away on Dec. 3, 2018. He worked at Wean Industries as a director of manufacturing for 37 years before retiring in 1992. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean War from 1951- 1955. Harry's passions were golfing, listening to all types of music and woodworking. But most importantly he loved spending time with family. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Rodney Reider.

Harry is survived by: one daughter: Carol & Gary MacDonald of Sturgis, MI, two sons: David E. & Monica Reider of Cleveland, OH, Kevin J. & Tonette Reider of Port Charles, FL. Harry was the oldest of seven siblings: two sisters: Joanne White of Newton Falls, Janet & Jack Ludwig of Newton Falls, four brothers: Robert(Jack) and Doris of Warren, Betty Reider, wife of the late Rodney Reider, Donald & Judy Reider of Lordstown, Gerald (Jerry) & Cheryl Reider of Warren. He is survived by 6 grandchildren: Jayne and Matthew Harmon, Robert, Cianna, Kevin Jr, Krystyna, and 2 great grandchildren: Alaina, and Addison.

Funeral services will be at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls on March 1, 2023 at 1:00pm with Rev. John Pratt officiating. Calling hours will precede from 12:00-1:00pm.  Cremation will follow the service. Harry will be laid to rest beside his wife Mildred at Newton Falls Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation in Harry's name to Traditions Health hospice or the charity of your choosing. The family would like to extend their gratitude and deep appreciation to Traditions Health Hospice and Jodi’s Angels, who helped bring our father and brother home.
